  • Title Abbot

  • Experience 15

  • Biography Father Geof :
I have been Ordained since the 6th of May, 1996 and since that time I have encouraged and preached the ideals of volunteer service where ever and when ever needed. My vocation was not started in religion, but in many fields including Information Technology, Law Enforcement and Blacksmithing. I have been very fortunate that regardless of where I worked I was always able to pursue my avocation and work with Non-Government Organizations for disaster relief both in the US and abroad. With a desire to refocus my attention in my local community, the Maysville Abbey was chartered and on the 21st of April, 2006 I was confirmed as Abbot.

    Sister Barbara:
I have been a member of the Maysville Abbey since it's inception and in April of 2006 I was elected to the post of Claustral Prior. I am a strong advocate of living better through diet, exercise and meditation. I enjoy testing new recipes in our kitchens or playing with the dogs and cats around the Abbey. I try to keep our little feathered friends fed, by working with both natural and man made bird and wildlife feeders.  I became a Certified Lactation Consultant in 2009 with the Center for Breastfeeding. I was Ordained in 2010 by both the Order of the Leaf and the Universal Life Church. The Order of the Leaf elected me as a Friar of the Church in 2010 and also granted me the title of Wedding Officiant.

  • Speciality A majority of our time is spent in the various outreach projects of the Abbey.
