  • Biography After receiving a B.A. in photography from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. in the spring of 1990, Amy Wilton joined the Maine Photographic Workshops as a summer work/study student. In the fall, she worked for Chrome, a professional photography lab in Washington, D.C. In 1992, Wilton took a job as an au pair for a year in Bavaria, Germany. When she returned to the United States, in 1993, she worked for studio photographer, Glenn Moody, in Burlington, Vermont and began photographing weddings on her own. Between 1995 and 1997, in addition to her photography carreer she also coached collegiate and club rowing on the east coast. During this period, she fulfilled freelance photographic assignments, including work for American Rowing Magazine and Tennis Magazine. Wilton received her M.F.A in Photography from Rockport College in 1997, where she has served also as a teaching assistant for the Associate Degree Program and taught summer workshops, community classes, Certificate and Associate Degree classes. Since then she has nurtured her thriving wedding photography business, as well as having many advertising and editorial clients including, Rolling Stone, Rowing News, American Rowing, Tennis, Men’s Health, Wooden Boat, Where and Boston Magazines, Nautica, Craftsbury Outdoor Center, Potomac Rowing Company, Vespoli USA, Watermark, Bowdoin College, Wesleyan University, George Washington University, Sports Graphics, March of Dimes, Planet Inc.
