Have you already created your list of things to do in planning for your wedding? 

Choosing a photographer should be much more than a single line item on your list.  There are so many factors in choosing:

Experience:

Will you choose a professional with a myriad of experience in capturing the greatest moments of your special day or will you get your close friend who takes some pretty good pictures?

Quality:

Your choice of videographer should depend on the quality of the product that he or she will ultimately deliver to you. This includes not only the amount of video recorded but also the editing and compilation of what should be your final product. The time spent recording is not your critical factor so much as the time spent in the editing phase and the experienced eye in deciding what stays and what is left out of the final cut.

Availability:

Book soon because the better the photographer, the less time they will have to be available for your day.  Start to look for your photographer as soon as you have booked your locale.

Equipment:

Everyone today is a “photographer” with the proliferation of pocket sized digital cameras and camera phones.  There is a major difference however, in taking snapshots and the creation of a photograph that can be considered a piece of art.  Check to see what the photographer has available to him or her in regards to camera equipment and then ask what they plan to do for backup in case something goes astray.  Talk with them about what kind of post processing gets done on your shots and what you as the client will end up with in the long run.

Price:

Everyone is going to have a budget so when looking at the packages that the photographer has available, consider what you are getting in the package and not only the bottom line.
